The Project As Approved

continued from home page...

The nine-acre PUD will have nearly 4-acres of open space and hiking trails that will connect to the Jacksonville trail system. Strict guidelines will be followed to maintain its park like setting including the cottage architecture style for homes that will be built in Andrew’s Place.

Because the site is covered with many valuable trees which are essential to the character of the project, a special team of experts conducted a tree survey to determine the exact location of every tree over a six inch diameter. The completed survey was indispensible in our effort to maximize the impact of the trees on the homes and the view shed as well as minimizes tree loss due to construction. By designing the homes sites around the hundreds of mature oak, fir, pine, laurel, cedar and spruce trees Andrews Place will have a mature look and feel that can’t be found just anywhere.

The trees were also the source of the inspiration for the simple but beautiful home designs which are a cross between lodge and craftsmen architecture. These designs are consistent with the historic orientation of the community and are proportional in size and will look like they belong on the land.

Each of the 15 <i>"Jewel Box Home"</i>will feature an Inviting front porch perfect for relaxing and conversing on those cool summer nights. The Pedestrian friendly streetscapes will invite neighbors out of their homes. Andrews Place will be anything but "cookie cutter" subdivision. The trees and the architectural consistency in the project will result in a neighborhood with interest and character, reminiscent of older neighborhoods.

Homes will range from 1800 sq ft – 2800 sq ft. and will be situated on lots from 7,000 sq ft – 14,000 sq ft. The two-story Lodge Styled Craftsman homes will all feature downstairs master suites and laundry. All will feature granite counter tops, wood floors and fire sprinkling systems. Other features of the homes will include a spacious walk-in pantry, stainless steel appliances, and utility room with closet storage. Beautiful hickory hardwood floors will be showcased throughout the entry, living room, kitchen and dining areas.

Award winning landscape architect Jody LeChance has developed a landscape plan that utilizes the existing foliage and makes Andrew’s Place something really special. When you first turn into Andrew’s Place you’ll know right away that Jody LeChance has succeeded in capturing the essence of the old family homestead.

The homes will be fully landscaped and ready to occupy. CC&R’s will prevent encroachment on open spaces and restrictions on fences. The development’s consistency of design and attention to detail will make Andrew’s Place the place in Jacksonville.
